Veep Debate….

Veep Debate…

This is just going to be really fast.  I’m going to have a few of my comments here and then I’m going to copy and paste an article from Breitbart.com

First my comments:

I thought both men did really well.  I thought Vice President Biden was going to go off his talking points a few times, but he didn’t.  If I HAD to give my honest assessment of the debate, I would say it was a draw.

BUT Biden came off as a three-letter word: J-E-R-K.

I loved when Biden said, “…they talk about this Great Recession if it fell out of the sky, like, oh my goodness, where did it come from? It came from this man voting to put two wars in a credit card…I was there. I voted against him. I said, no, we can’t afford that. And now all of a sudden these guys are so seized with a concern about the debt that they created.”  It would have been an awesome line, if it were true.  On September 14, 2001  (then) Senator Biden voted for the Afghanistan resolution which authorized “the use of United States Armed Forces against those responsible for the recent attacks launched against the United States.”  Then again on Oct. 11, 2002, Biden voted for a resolution authorizing unilateral military action in Iraq, according to the Washington Post.

“I was there.”  Ahhhhh, okay.

How about when Mr. Biden threw the State department under the bus with his, “We didn’t know they wanted more security” lie?  What do you mean, “didn’t know?”  Wouldn’t it be great if they had daily briefings on things like that?  And when he says that isn’t he, essentially, blaming the dead Americans for getting killed?  Could I end this paragraph with another question mark?  I dunno, do you?  Should I try?

This was my favorite Biden line of the year, “This is all a bunch of stuff.”

I changed my mind.  I’m not going to copy and paste the article.  It is AWESOME though.  It is titled: By the Numbers: Moderator Raddatz Attacked Ryan 9 Times, Biden Once

Check it out.

  1. Getting in “zingers” (I was hoping they’d be the chocolatie twinkie-types) is what Romney told the press about prepping for the 1st presidential debate. I don’t think that he (Romney) said anything during the debate that would classify “feeling the verbal burn.” However, that being said, The ‘perception of energy’ spoken from each candidate (or the lack thereof) was palpibal!
Despite the “TRUTHINESS” of the words they exchanged, Mitt Romstein was the one who was truely fired up & ready to go. As 4 Obamster… less than A-game performance is putting it mildly.
    Point goes to Repubs!!
As for the VP debates: Despite their “TRUTHINESS” of words exchanged, the energy perception… A snotty teen-aged Eddie Munster look-alike being taken to the woodshed by fatherly Joe “six-pack” Biden.
    A-game= VEEP!
    Still wet behind the ears=RYAN!
    Point goes to Dems.
Now for those of you keeping score, remember that these debates mean nothing. Dan Quayle had his a** handed to him with the “you’re no Jack Kennedy” Veep debates. He then went on to serve as VP for four years w/H W Bush.
The next presidential debate will also be another entertainment venue. It will serve no other purpose than that… to entertain you. Just remember to pop popcorn & enjoy. Oh, and don’t forget to get of the couch in NOV and actually exercise your American right to vote! Our ancestors truely earned us that right.

  2. “Oh, now you’re Jack Kennedy?” Loved it. I have to agree…these debates mean nothing. Biden came out and did exactly what Biden does…he heckles. That was the most prepared I have seen Biden in years. He was ready and he came out guns blazing. It is one thing I adore about him. He isnt someone who caters to public opinion. Like him or not, he doesnt care. It is refreshing. He wasn’t there to sway independent voters and he sure wasn’t there to persuade any Republicans. His job was to shore up his base. Dems wanted to see some fight. Biden couldn’t win either way. Obama was slammed by not only Reps but by Dems for not slamming Romney and calling him it of specific statements. Biden had no choice but to be the “mean” guy as Reps call him. He gave me exactly what I needed. He energized the party. That’s all he needed to do. He nailed it that night. I wanted to reach through the TV and kiss him. That being said, hats off to Ryan. I admire all four men for going out in front of millions and being.scrutinized by the world. Those men have nerves of steel. I give it to all of them. They have courage I only dream about…
